IIEC is an Umbrella Group that was formed early 2008 and formally registered on 16th May, 2008 as a self help group and later registered as a CBO on 10/05/2012. It draws its membership from individuals as well as self-help groups. Currently it has individual membership and group membership of self-help groups.
IIEC is currently the secretariat of Elgeyo Marakwet CSO network composed of 54 CSOs spread across the county.

To be the leading agent in community transformation in livelihoods, poverty eradication, enhanced capacities, good governance, environmental and water conservation and resilience in Elgeyo Marakwet County and beyond.

OBJECTIVE
The CBOÂ provides a neutral platform for all partners involved in environment and water, agriculture, road empowerment, tourism, sports, governance, livestock and humanitarian activities in the North Rift Region.
