Formerly known as the Kisumu District Hospital, the facility is said to have been first established in the year 1900 during the building of the Kenya – Uganda Railway, where t served as an army barrack for the colonial government.Kisumu County Referral Hospital (KCRH) is a level 5 hospital located in Kisumu city, along Angawa Avenue, opposite Kenyatta Sports Ground.
